Carter Charles was born and raised in Haiti. He obtained his academic training and degrees in France in Anglophone and American Studies. He is an assistant professor in the department of Church History and Doctrine at BYU.
David Howlett is the Mellon Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. He is the author of Kirtland Temple: The Biography of a Shared Mormons Sacred Space (Illinois, 2014) and the co-author of Mormonism: The Basics (Routledge, 2017).
Amy Hoyt is a Visiting Scholar at Claremont Graduate University. She is the co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Mormonism and Gender, 2020.
